High bandwidth laser frequency locking for wideband noise suppression

چکیده
Ultra-low frequency noise lasers have been widely used in laser-based experiments. Most narrow-linewidth are implemented by actively suppressing their through a servo loop (FNSL). The bandwidths (LBW) of FNSLs currently below megahertz, which is gradually tricky to meet application requirements, especially for wideband quantum sensing This article has experimentally an FNSL with loop-delay-limited 3.5 MHz LBW, order higher than the usual FNSLs. Using this FNSL, we achieved 70 dB laser suppression over 100 kHz Fourier range. technology broad applications vast fields where inevitable.

Low phase noise, high bandwidth frequency synthesis techniques
A quantization noise reduction technique is proposed that allows fractional-N frequency synthesizers to achieve high closed loop bandwidth and low output phase noise simultaneously. Quantization induced phase noise is the bottleneck in state-ofthe-art synthesizer design, and results in a noise-bandwidth tradeoff that typically limits closed loop synthesizer bandwidths to be <100kHz for adequate...

متن کاملNoise Suppression using a Perceptual Model for Wideband Speech Signals
Traditional algorithms for suppressing background noise in speech signals can add annoying artefacts to the resulting denoised signal. In applications requiring better than toll quality, it is desirable that noise suppression should not add any audible artefacts. This paper describes a method that is effective for narrowband and applies these methods to wideband signals. The method presented us...
متن کاملSuppression of intensity noise of a laser-diode-pumped single-frequency Nd:YVO4 laser by optoelectronic control.
The intensity-noise reduction of a laser-diode-pumped single-frequency ring Nd:YVO4 laser when different optoelectronic control systems are used is theoretically and experimentally investigated. It has been demonstrated that combining two techniques, optoelectronic feedback control of the drive current of the pump laser diode and feed-forward control of the output laser beam, is a good way to s...
متن کاملUltra low frequency noise laser by locking to an optical fiber delay line
We report the frequency stabilization of an erbium-doped fiber distributedfeedback laser using an all-fiber based Michelson interferometer of large arm imbalance. The interferometer uses a 1 km SMF-28 optical fiber spool and an acousto optic modulator allowing heterodyne detection. The frequency noise power spectral density is reduced by more than 40 dB for Fourier frequencies ranging from 1 Hz...
